Attend an Event
SMART Technologies ULC offers various types of training events to meet your needs.
For all SMART Training events it is recommended to bring a laptop with the latest version of the appropriate software installed.
Basic
The SMART Learner Conference: C3-Connect, Collaborate and Create is a new three day conference that aims to immerse participants in a rich, multifaceted learning experience by combining paid training, free events and workshops, guest speakers and product demonstrations. The cost to attend this event is $99 USD.
SMART PD Plus Events are energetic product training events where participants receive a SMART product with a full day of instructor-led training, review exercises, hands-on time and a comprehensive workbook. The cost to attend this event is $499 USD.
SMART Notebook Software training for your SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard: Level 1 is an introductory level event held at scheduled times and locations throughout North America. They are designed to help educators learn how to use the SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard to improve their daily work. Each full-day event is led by a SMART trainer who works with SMART products daily. The cost to attend this event is $179 USD.
SMART Response Training events are designed for users who want a comprehensive overview of the SMART Response interactive response system and hands-on practice in developing, creating, delivering and evaluating assessments. The cost to attend this event is $199 USD.
The prerequisites to attend this session are any one of the following:
- To have previously attended SMART Notebook Software training for your SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard - Level 1
- To have a minimum of 1 year of experience using Notebook Software with your SMART Board™ interactive Whiteboard or Sympodium™ interactive pen display.
SMART Sync classroom management software half-day events are designed for users who want a comprehensive overview of the software and hands-on practice guiding student learning and facilitating collaboration using the SMART Sync interface. These events are aimed primarily at K-12 instructors.
SMART Ideas concept-mapping software half-day events are designed for users who want a comprehensive overview of our concept-mapping software from the basics to the more advanced features. These events are aimed primarily at K-12 instructors, higher education instructors and corporate trainers.
SMART Table training is designed for kindergarten to grade three school teachers who want to create effective and engaging lesson activities, and facilitate classroom learning using the SMART Table™ interactive learning center. Each training event is led by a SMART trainer who works with SMART products daily. The cost for this full-day event is $199 USD.
To participate in this training event, please bring a laptop computer with the most recent version of SMART Notebook™ collaborative learning software, and the SMART Table Toolkit installed.
Intermediate
SMART Notebook Software training for your SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard: Level 2 is an intermediate level event held at scheduled times and locations throughout North America. It is intended to help educators learn design fundamentals and develop presentation creation skills. Each full-day event is led by a SMART trainer who works with SMART products daily. The cost to attend this event is $199 USD.
The prerequisites to attend this session are any one of the following:
- To have previously attended a "SMART Master's event" (prior to March '08)
- To have previously attended SMART Notebook Software training for your SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard - Level 1
- To have a minimum of 1 year of experience using Notebook Software with you SMART Board™ interactive Whiteboard or Sympodium™ interactive pen display.
If you or your organization provides training on SMART products, then consider a SMART Certification Training event. SMART Certification Training goes beyond the basics with extensive hands-on training that enables you to train others effectively. The credential you will receive gives you the required skills to deliver high-quality training for SMART Board interactive whiteboards.
SMART Classroom Suite™ interactive learning software training is an intermediate training event where participants learn how to use SMART Classroom Suite to teach effectively in a classroom equipped with computers. Each full-day event is led by a SMART trainer who works with SMART products daily. The cost for this event is $199 USD.
Pre-requisites
Prior to attending this training event, you are expected to have previously attended both of the following:
- SMART Notebook software training for your SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard – Level 1
- SMART Response interactive response system training

SMART Notebook Certification: The cost to attend this event is $1,799.00 USD.
SMART Response Certification: The cost to attend this event is $999.00 USD.
SMART Table Certification: The cost to attend this two day training event is $999 USD.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be an approved SMART Certified Trainer in SMART Notebook Software prior to attending a SMART Response or SMART Table Training Certification Event.
SMART Classroom Suite Certification: The cost to attend this event is $499.00 USD.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be an approved SMART Certified Trainer in both SMART Notebook and SMART Response Certification Software prior to attending a SMART Classroom Suite Training Certification event.
SMART Sync Certification: The cost to attend this event is $699.00 USD.
SMART Ideas Certification: The cost to attend this event is $699.00 USD.
Unless otherwise indicated, sessions are delivered using SMART Notebook software with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
